Embodying the Essence of Caring Therapy

At HMM Psychotherapies, we are passionately committed to providing a nurturing and empathetic environment for individuals seeking support and healing. We understand that each person's journey is unique, and we approach our work with genuine compassion and a deep sense of responsibility.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is a widely used form of psychotherapy that focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. CBT is based on the premise that our thoughts and perceptions influence our emotions and actions. It is a short-term, goal-oriented therapy that aims to identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors.

Compassion Focused Therapy

Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) is a therapeutic approach developed by Dr. Paul Gilbert that integrates principles from cognitive-behavioral therapy, evolutionary psychology, and neuroscience. This form of therapy is particularly designed to address issues related to shame and self-criticism, often focusing on individuals who struggle with high levels of self-criticism and feelings of inadequacy.

Emotion Focused Therapy

Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on emotions as a central component of human experience and therapeutic change. Developed by Leslie S. Greenberg and Sue Johnson in the 1980s, EFT is primarily used to address issues related to interpersonal relationships and emotional well-being. It is rooted in humanistic and experiential therapeutic traditions.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a therapeutic method that integrates cognitive-behavioral strategies with principles from dialectics. Created by psychologist Dr. Marsha Linehan in the late 1980s, it was originally designed to help people with borderline personality disorder (BPD). Over time, DBT has been modified to address a range of other mental health issues.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness aims to help you maintain a moment-by-moment awareness of your thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment, through a gentle, nurturing lens. It is a type of meditation in which you focus on being intensely aware of what you're sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment.
